My Mission: I believe you are the expert in your own journey, and each individual facilitates their own diverse path. My aim is to meet each individual where they are at, and become a molded support for their unique needs. I believe counseling is a partnership, used to facilitate growth and development, for both individuals involved.

My Focus: My goal is to step into each individuals’ distinctive world, and to aid in utilizing each individuals’ unique strengths to encourage the development of healthy interpersonal relationships, enhance self-exploration and self-understanding and to guide clients into becoming the healthiest version of themselves. I believe becoming aware is the first step, and I want to assist in that process.

My Experience: I have experience working with clients of all ages, with various presenting concerns; trauma, self-harm, suicide ideation, depression, anxiety, severe stress, transitional grievances, Bi-Polar disorder, panic attacks, and clients with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. I work with children of all ages, as young as 3, and have a history (prior to counseling) of working as a preschool teacher for over five years, and as a nanny for many families prior to that experience. I have worked with many adolescents under the counseling umbrella, assisting with many transitional disturbances, as well as adults with various concerns, including trauma and severe stress. I have grown from working with each and every one of my clients, and have gained insight on the processes by which counseling helps each individual in different facets of their lives. I have gained extensive knowledge and skill in my graduate program to obtain experience in working with individuals of all ages with various concerns.

My Technique: I want to create an atmosphere for growth and serve as a resource for many on their journey. My theoretical approach consists of a broad array of techniques developed on an individual basis. These can include behavioral techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Adlerian concepts, and a realistic approach to self-awareness and problem-solving. I utilize Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Trauma based Cognitive Behavioral therapy and other various evidenced based practices with my clients. I have an existential foundation, and aim to encourage individuals to build autonomy and self-understanding as they continue to grow and learn throughout their journeys. The therapeutic process should be fluid and flexible as are our journeys.

About me: I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Houston, and obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling in August 2018 from Houston Baptist University. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, try new restaurants, take my dogs to the park, go camping or sneak in the occasional yoga or Pilates class. I also love spicy food, I love to travel, and I have way too many pets that I adore.

Areas of Specialty: My passion is working with children, adolescents and parents navigating the difficulties of familial transitions and stressors, adults who have suffered from trauma, adolescents who battle with self-harm or suicide ideation, and individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I see clients ages 2 to adults with all areas of concerns.
