My Mission: I believe counseling can be beneficial to anyone. I want to grow and learn with my clients as well as facilitate adaptive growth for my clients on their unique journeys. My aim is to develop a partnership that will continue to change and develop as we progress.

My Focus: To aid individuals in developing healthy interpersonal relationships, participating in adaptive behaviors, and enhancing self-exploration and self-understanding. I believe becoming aware is the first step, and I want to assist in that process.

My Experience: I have experience working with clients with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities, children of all ages and parents. I was a preschool teacher for close to five years, and have been a nanny for many families over the years, and absolutely love working with children and with their parents. I have grown with all of the families I have served and I want to continue to grow with the families and individuals I will work with in the future. I have gained extensive knowledge and skill in my graduate program to obtain experience in working with individuals of all ages.

My Technique: I want to create an atmosphere for growth and serve as a resource for many on their journey. My theoretical approach consists of a broad array of techniques developed on an individual basis. These can include behavioral techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Adlerian concepts, and a realistic approach to self-awareness. I have an existential foundation, and aim to encourage individuals to build autonomy and self-understanding as they continue to grow and learn throughout their journeys.

About me: I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Houston, and am planning to graduate with my Master’s Degree in Counseling in May 2018 from Houston Baptist University. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, try new restaurants, take my dogs to the park, or go to a Zumba or a Pilates class at my gym. I also love spicy food, I love to travel, and I have way too many pets that I adore.

Areas of Specialty: My passion is working with children, parents, caregivers and individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I see clients ages 2 to adults with all areas of concerns.
