My mission as a counselor is simple: to meet people where they are and walk alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe every stage of life brings its own struggles and opportunities for growth, and I am passionate about helping children, parents, and families build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Over the years, I’ve worked with families in many different contexts—helping parents and children strengthen their bond, supporting students in school, and guiding siblings and peers through conflict. I’ve seen how much lighter life feels when relationships are strong, and I believe that through connection, encouragement, and understanding, even the heaviest burdens don’t have to be carried alone.

I bring more than 30 years of experience in education, including 14 years as a teacher and 17 years as a school counselor with Katy ISD. Today, I continue that work as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, offering support to individuals and families as they grow, heal, and build stronger connections. My background includes extensive training in parenting programs—both receiving and leading them—which has given me a wealth of tools to help parents and caregivers navigate the challenges of raising children while also fostering healthy relationships with teachers, peers, and the broader community.

I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and moved to Katy in 2001. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I love being able to connect with families across cultures. I’m also the proud mom of two supportive adult daughters and the very blessed grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren. Outside of counseling, I enjoy learning new things and can almost always be found on the dance floor—I’m an avid dancer and find joy in movement and music.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M International in Laredo (formerly LSU), a Master of Education from Sam Houston State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Houston Christian University.
