Aubrie Wells

LPC Associate

Supervised by Dr. Roxy Reifkohl, LPC-S

I believe counseling is a collaborative process where people can feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life's challenges. My goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and develop practical tools that lead to meaningful and lasting change. I believe each person already possesses unique strengths, and together we can build upon those strengths to create a life that aligns with their values and goals.

I work with adolescents, adults, and families using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach tailored to each client's unique experiences and needs. My counseling style integrates Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients better understand their emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's transitions with greater confidence.

I have a passion for supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, burnout, and relationship challenges. Together, we focus on building emotional awareness, developing healthy coping strategies, and increasing self-compassion while creating sustainable changes that support long-term well-being.

I also enjoy working with neurodivergent adolescents and adults, helping clients better understand their unique strengths while developing strategies for emotional regulation, executive functioning, sensory needs, communication, relationships, and navigating everyday life. I value collaborating with families and loved ones when appropriate to strengthen understanding, connection, and support.

In addition, I have a heart for serving helping professionals and those in high-stress careers, including educators, healthcare professionals, counselors, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and first responders. I understand the emotional demands that come with caring for others and strive to provide a space where clients can process stress, prevent burnout, reconnect with their purpose, and prioritize their own well-being.

As a certified 200-hour yoga instructor, I also bring a mind-body perspective to counseling. When appropriate, I integrate mindfulness, grounding techniques, breathwork, and nervous system regulation practices to help clients manage stress, increase emotional regulation, and foster greater self-awareness.
My hope is that every client leaves feeling empowered, understood, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.
