Audra Jones-Partee

For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, and adults as they navigate some of life’s hardest seasons. My passion is helping people overcome obstacles, find new ways of coping, and build healthier, stronger relationships. Whether it’s a child learning to express big feelings, a teen struggling with anxiety, or an adult facing major life changes, my goal is always the same: to create a safe, welcoming space where growth and healing can happen.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client. Sometimes that means using play therapy to help children process what words can’t capture. Other times, it’s teaching practical tools through cognitive behavioral strategies or working through trauma in a safe, intentional way. I believe therapy is more than “fixing problems”—it’s about equipping people with the confidence and resources they need to face whatever comes their way.
Before becoming a therapist in private practice, I spent 21 years as a school counselor. That experience gave me a front-row seat to the struggles children and adolescents face today: anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, trauma, and more. Those years shaped my commitment to creating a safe place where young people feel heard and supported, while also giving me the tools to help families and adults navigate their own challenges.
I grew up in Bastrop, Louisiana, and have called Houston home for nearly three decades. I’ve been married to my best friend and biggest encourager for 25 years, and together we’ve raised a wonderful son who’s now 19. When I’m not counseling, you’ll usually find me reading a good book, shopping, or planning my next trip—I love exploring the world and learning from new cultures.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University and a Master of Education in Counseling from Texas Southern University. I’m also an Advanced Certified Trauma Practitioner through STAAR Commonwealth.
My specialties include working with children, adolescents, and adults who are facing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, crises, and relationship challenges. No matter what you’re walking through, I believe there’s always hope—and I’d be honored to walk that road with you.
