Dina Blume

My mission as a counselor is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and discover new ways to grow. I believe healing begins in the context of safe, trusted relationships—where compassion, empathy, and honesty open the door to change. My heart is to help you build healthier connections with yourself, with family and friends, and with God. Along the way, we’ll work together to uncover your strengths, build confidence, and develop coping strategies that make life’s struggles more manageable. My hope is that through our work together, you’ll feel more intentional in how you live, more hopeful in how you move forward, and more at peace within yourself.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families from many different walks of life. My career began in the public schools, where I served as a School Psychologist, and later transitioned into private practice where I’ve been honored to support clients from age 10 to well into their 90s. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of people across every stage of life.
I approach counseling from a spiritual worldview, but I always respect each person’s unique journey. No two clients are alike, so I use a variety of approaches tailored to individual needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems, EMDR, and Play Therapy. Whether you’re facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relational struggles, or simply need a safe space to process life, I believe therapy can be a place for hope, healing, and growth.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to my husband for over 40 years, and together we raised five wonderful children. Today, one of my greatest joys is spending time with our five grandchildren. Outside of counseling, I love to travel, read, and continue learning through ongoing education. We’ve been active at BridgePoint Bible Church since before we were married, and my faith continues to shape both my life and my work.
I earned my Master of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University and my Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, Registered Play Therapist, and hold a Lifetime Texas Teaching Certificate. A guiding verse for me is 2 Corinthians 1:4-6: “Comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
