Life is full of challenges, and sometimes those challenges can feel heavier than we know how to carry. My mission as a counselor is to help people—children, teens, and adults—find balance in the middle of those struggles. I believe that when we gain the right tools and support, we can experience not only relief but also a deeper sense of success, confidence, and happiness.

For nearly two decades, I’ve served as an elementary and junior high school counselor, working with children of all ages to address issues like anger management, bullying, personality conflicts, school anxiety, self-confidence, and self-acceptance. Alongside my work in schools, I’ve also been a hypnotherapist for 10 years. Hypnotherapy has given me the opportunity to help individuals break free from habits like nail biting and bedwetting, while also supporting clients with test anxiety, weight management, motivation, and self-love. My approach combines practical tools with encouragement, helping clients build their “life tool belt” so they’re ready to face whatever comes their way.

I was raised in Laredo, Texas, and moved to the Houston area in 1990. My husband—who has been my biggest supporter—and I have built a family we’re deeply proud of, with three children and four beautiful grandchildren. Alongside counseling, I’ve also worked as a bilingual teacher for children and an ESL teacher for adults. I’m passionate about lifelong learning and am always taking new classes and seminars to broaden my skills. Most recently, I’ve been exploring the benefits of aromatherapy and essential oils as additional tools for wellness and balance.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2000 and later received my Advanced Hypnosis certification from the Path Foundation in 2009.
