My mission as a counselor is to create a safe, supportive space where children, teens, and adults feel truly seen, validated, and empowered. I believe healing begins when you’re able to explore your story with compassion, uncover your strengths, and learn new skills that help you move through life’s challenges with confidence. My goal is to walk alongside you in this process, helping you build healthier relationships—with yourself and with others—so you can live with more peace, fulfillment, and joy.

I work with clients of all ages who are struggling to manage their emotions and cope in healthy ways. For children, these challenges often show up as anger, defiance, or conflict at home and school. For teens and adults, they may take the form of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or unresolved trauma. I also provide support for parents who want to strengthen their connection with their children and learn new strategies to help them thrive.

I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies) and my master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Houston—Go Coogs! As a counselor, I have training in play therapy and enjoy working with children, but I also love working with teens and adults as they navigate the ups and downs of life. Before entering the counseling field, I worked for five years at Launch Academy, a private school for adolescents with autism and other disabilities. That experience taught me how to help kids with unique needs tap into their strengths, build social and emotional skills, and prepare for independence, while also working with parents to support them at home.

My decision to become a counselor is also deeply personal. As a child and teen, I faced my own struggles with family challenges and anxiety—and found incredible support through therapy. What began as addressing one concern became a domino effect of growth and healing in many areas of my life. That experience showed me the life-changing impact of a good therapeutic relationship and inspired me to help others find the same kind of transformation.

I’m a native Texan from a big family—birth, adoptive, and step—and I’ve always loved connecting with people. Friends and clients alike describe me as patient, empathetic, and upbeat. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with animals, making art, listening to music, playing board and video games, and appreciating the simple beauty of wildflowers (especially dandelions).
