I believe counseling is less about fixing and more about understanding. Many times, we navigate life the way we navigate the ocean — sometimes gliding along the surface, and sometimes feeling the pull of deep, unseen currents. Before becoming a counseling student, I spent years fascinated by the essential question that guides my work with people: how our perceptions influence our experiences and vice versa.

That curiosity carried my approach in counseling with individuals navigating stress, trauma (whether from abuse, neglect, loss, family instability, or other adverse experiences), life transitions, sense of identity, and relationships. I take an integrative approach, drawing from play therapy, Gestalt, CBT, DBT, and solution focused brief therapy. Through multiple therapeutic frameworks, a map can be created depending on what a particular individual actually needs — no one-size-fits-all map for waters that are uniquely yours.
Together, we can look beneath the surface — at the currents, the tides, the patterns — so you can move through your life with more clarity and intention. I show up in a empathetic, honest, direct manner with genuine curious about what makes you you.

I previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University and am currently in the process of acquiring a Master in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University.

Outside of the counseling room, I'm someone who finds fulfillment in life's simple pleasures, through activities such as playing guitar, socializing with friends, working up a sweat at the gym, or losing myself in a favorite video game. Additionally, I share my home with two beloved cats, Smidge and Autumn, who have a flair for adventure and thoroughly enjoy their occasional supervised outdoor strolls.
