My mission as a counselor is to offer a compassionate and secure therapeutic environment rooted in empathy and grounded in trust. I am committed to ensuring that each individual feels deeply seen and empowered throughout the counseling process. My work focuses on helping clients explore and make meaning of their experiences while fostering resilience and personal growth. I aim to provide effective, evidence-based strategies that promote emotional and mental well-being.
I believe every client who enters the therapeutic process with their own set of lived experiences and life circumstances deserves a safe space to process their journey. I utilize an integrative approach including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) with a person-centered approach. I practice from a wellness-centered perspective, focusing on the interconnectedness of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. By integrating evidence-based practices with a spiritually informed framework, I work to support clients in cultivating balance to strive for a deeper sense of purpose in their lives.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies at Ouachita Baptist University, I completed my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I am a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor. I am trained in SYMBIS for premarital counseling. My specialty is teenagers, college-aged and young adults transitioning to adulthood, and women, who are struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and grief and loss.
I grew up in the Richmond area in a pastor’s family. I am a military spouse and have been married for 3 years. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and traveling to new places with my husband and two fur babies, Winston and Waylon. I love training and running Disney half marathons when I have the opportunity.
